New at Nirvana: May 2025

Here’s what’s new this month!

Highlights

• Telehealth Coverage Detection: We’re excited to announce the launch of telehealth eligibility detection! You can now check for telehealth coverage through our API – with OneVerify support arriving shortly.
  
  • Why this matters: We have heard from you, our customers, that adding telehealth functionality would be a major value add to your teams. Now, you’re able to easily differentiate between what a patient would owe in-office vs for a telehealth appointment.

• Payer Expansion: More coverage, more clarity. We’ve added support for additional payers including Carelon, Curative, Quartz, Simply Health Plans, Peach State Health Plan, and Colorado Access.
  
• Cigna A1/A2 Fee Schedule Visibility: We’ve added a feature that identifies the new A1/A2 fee schedule field across all Cigna policies. This new fee schedule was quietly launched earlier this year, and determines how much Cigna will reimburse for specific services.‍
  
  • Why this matters: Changes in fee schedules & reimbursement rates significantly impact revenue cycle management and financial projections. Optimizing visibility into A1/A2 ensures accurate billing and reimbursement by applying the correct Cigna fee schedule based on the patient’s coverage type.

• Improved MH service coverage 
  
  • We’ve enhanced our coverage detection across mental health services while maintaining the same high level accuracy on eligibility information returned. This  modality detection makes it easier to determine whether a service like individual therapy or group therapy is covered.

• Medicaid Eligibility Without Member ID
  With Nirvana’s Medicaid Product you will be able to run checks without a member ID in 7 additional states (FL, GA, WI, KY, HI, WY) – just pass gender and date of birth.
