Hello! My name is Quincy Adams. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of Brooklyn, New York, and am a Bank Street Graduate of The Hunter School of Social Work. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I am offering both in-person and virtual therapy sessions.
Feeling stuck, unfulfilled, and overwhelmed can be very debilitating, isolating and permanent. These challenges can come up in relationships (love, family) and in your profession. You may have tried just about everything you can think of to address your concerns but still don't know how to move forward and resolve things. I can help you find relief. I have a calm, gentle presence that is perceived by many to be nurturing and inviting.
My philosophy of working is that we all have an innate ability to cope with and overcome areas of life that we find difficult. Together, we will discover how you can tap into your inborn healing capacities to create the change you are seeking.
I have an insight-oriented, emotion focused and body centered approach that can help you gain added depth in understanding your thoughts, choices, feelings and behavioral patterns. This deepened understanding can help you make better choices and live a more fulfilling life. In addition, I have expertise in working with children, adolescents and parents.
A few therapies I utilize in my practice include: AEDP, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Dialectical (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Eclectic, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology.
If you are interested in working together please email or call me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit. Costs for each therapy session are on a sliding scale ranging from $150 - $250, and can be paid with American Express, Visa, Discover, Mastercard, Cash, Check, Wire, Paypal, and a Health Savings Account.
Before your therapy visit, check your coverage with our Peace of Mind Calculator, which estimates how much you'll be reimbursed once you hit your deductible or out-of-pocket max.
Remember superbills, those long invoices you got from your therapist? How about claim forms? You don’t need either of those. We’ll handle your claims electronically and file them for free.
Check the status of your claims with our free Client Portal, which gives you a real-time window into the reimbursement process so you don’t have to worry if the check is in the mail.
We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.
We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
We’re glad to answer any questions you have. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and someone from our Help Desk will reach out to you.
