Hello! My name is Lindsay Hayden, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based out of New York City. I’ve been in practice for 6 Years, and am a Fordham University alumni. I am also certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and have been certified by The New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. Currently I offer both in-person and virtual therapy.

I work with individuals and couples who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, self esteem, addiction and those curious about understanding attachment styles. The goal of my work is to help you uncover patterns and behaviors that don't suit you anymore and arm you with tools to navigate making small changes and adopting healthier coping skills.
My approach to therapy is active, collaborative and warm. I draw from a variety of modalities to find the most supportive treatment for you as you advance towards where you want to be. I will integrate Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with mindfulness and awareness techniques.

We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
