Hello! My name is Jason Hill, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of New York City. I’ve been in practice for 13 years, and am a Rutgers University alumni.
My ideal client is honest, open, and willing. My ideal client understands the value of therapy. My ideal client wants to improve mood, self-esteem, relationships, etc., but realizes that something happens within the client/therapist relationship that does not happen alone. My typical client shows improvement within a few months, and then eventually meets with me less frequently (for 'tune-ups'). And, my clients typically return to sessions with me after leaving therapy, if things begin to go awry.
I specialize in working with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I am also trained to help people with addiction, alcohol use, anger management, coping skills, drug abuse, family conflict, internet addiction, life transitions, obesity, sexual addiction, spirituality, and weight loss.
I am currently a Clinical Social Worker in New York State, and have worked in a variety of settings over the past 12 years. I take a client-centered and solution-focused approach, utilizing either a cognitive-behavioral or psychodynamic style (as appropriate). I focus on uncovering what motivates my clients, as we build on what is already working. I also offer online therapy sessions.
When we become willing to openly discuss whatever is troubling us with an experienced and understanding professional, things change. You and I will determine what your goals are, what motivates you, and what is working well for you already. By focusing on solutions we can improve mood, self-esteem, relationships, etc., in a relatively short period of time.

Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
