Hello! My name is Guadalupe Bermejo. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based out of New York City, and a City College alumni.
I specialize in working with millennials and college students of Black and African American or Hispanic and Latino background struggling with life transitions such as starting a new job, beginning/ending relationships, or moving to a new city. I also support survivors of intimate partner violence. In addition, I am qualified to help individuals with trauma and PTSD, racial identity, anxiety, depression, family conflict, self esteem, and stress. Our work won’t just be about coping with your symptoms, stressors, problems, or traumas—it will be about learning how to thrive in spite of it all! Life transitions, even positive ones, can leave us feeling stuck, anxious, confused, lost, and even despairing.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and incorporates different techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy and internal family systems to help unpack structural dynamics and tap into your personal wants and values so you can step into your own power and self-confidence. I provide services in English and in Spanish.

The price for each therapy session is $165, and can be paid with Visa or Paypal. We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
