Hello! My name is Salima Ndoye, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based out of New York City. I’ve been in practice for 4 years, and am a member of The EMDR International Association. 2020 Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, I am offering both in-person and telehealth sessions.

I will use an integrative approach of various psychotherapeutic methodologies in my work incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral therapy, the Gottman Method, Emotion-Focused Therapy, solution-focused, and hope-focused therapy with my clients. My priority is that the work be tailored, depending on what works with your beliefs, values and needs.
It can be difficult to reach out; know that a relationship with the right therapist for you can be eye-opening and healing. I welcome you to come in and answer your yearning for growth and get closer to the person or couple you want to be...to improve the quality of your relationships with yourself and others. I am also bilingual and can conduct therapy in both English and French.

We handle your mental health insurance electronically and file your claims for free. We also track the status of your claims and ensure they are processed correctly so you don’t have to worry about paperwork or making frustrating phone calls.
We work with your therapist to obtain all the information needed to file your claims. Then we file them electronically each week.
You only need to make sure we have your most updated insurance information. You don’t need to do anything else!
Nirvana has a free tool called the Peace of Mind Coverage Calculator, which estimates your reimbursement amount at the start of the calendar year, when your deductible has been met, and when your out-of-pocket maximum has been reached. You only need to enter the name of the therapist you’d like to see, along with your name, date of birth, and insurance information.
Once you have met your deductible, your reimbursement will be mailed to you about 4-6 weeks from the date of your first eligible claim. In some cases, this process can take as long as 90 days.
Your reimbursement will be mailed to the address on file with your therapist and your insurer. We recommend verifying your address directly with your insurer.
You will receive your reimbursement by check. Some insurers combine payments for multiple sessions and others send one check per session.
Yes! We offer a free product called the Client Portal, which allows you to do exactly that. You may be invited by your therapist, but you can independently register here. With the client portal, you can view the exact status of your claims and reimbursements.
